Congratulations

So a friend requested I make a card for her sister, who has just completed her PhD! I found this cute image on The Paper Shelter, coloured, naturally with my promarkers. The papers are from Recollections, Charming pad. I cut the congratulations circle and the flourishes on my silhouette and of course, gems, because come on, we all know by now, I can't resist gems. For You

This cute lil' fella came from pollycraft; coloured with my promarkers. I saw the challenge on Make My Monday, for summer activities and I knew I had this guy printed and cut from agggggggges ago... and what's a better summer activity than eating ice cream, none, exactly! lol! The 'for you' sentiment stamp is from fundamentals birthday stamps set and I used a little twine. The paper is from a new pad I picked up yesterday in the Works (a sort of budget bookshop, that does stationary/craft stuff/toys too) for £1 a pack (30 sheets/10 designs if your interested). Challenges: - Inspire.Create.Challenges #071 - Sketch (i flipped it on its side) - Make My Monday Challenge #124 - Summer Activities - Shopping Our Stash #422 - UFOs (UnFinished Objects) - Aud Sentiments Challenge #253 - Anything Goes + A Sentiment Thanks for visiting!

30th Birthday

So a friends 30th is on Thursday and yes I am lastminute.com on this one, because honestly, I forgot! oops! At least I remembered before her actual birthday!  The image is from bugaboo coloured with my promarkers. The papers from trimcrafts, layered on grey card. The frame and 30 was cut on my cameo. The sentiment is from hunkydory. Coffee and Friends

A few days ago, when I was planning on going to the hospital to get my ankle checked, I was chatting to my friend K online about how busy A&E was likely to be. She suggested that if it was too busy, go to Starbucks and go back in an hour... assuming my friend T who was taking me to the hospital wouldn't mind coffee (they've never actually met), which surely not given she was a friend of mine! Funny story... my friend T does drink coffee... but she didn't when we met a few years ago. In fact she hated even the smell... I would claim innocence, but I know I'm partly responsible for the turn around! And I'm rather proud of that! lol! The card base if kraft, the stamp is from stampin up, stamped twice, one on design paper and cut out. The circles are from the same paper pack which is The Good Life  from fancypantsdesigns. And of course a few gems, because gems. This card was somewhat hampered by my cat stealing my seat when I stood up to pick my design paper, then s

Just Married

Ah the romance! Who doesn't love a wedding. Well maybe not at the moment, but normally! This adorable image is from Digital Delights by Loobyloo. The sentiment was handstamped, but I've not the foggiest where I got the stamp set from, magazine freebies are a wonderful thing, lol! The paper is from Serenity pack by trimcraft and the lace frame and hearts were cut on my cameo. Added a little bow tie paperchlip from stampin up to finish. May The Birthday Force Be With You

I actually made this last week, but it was for a friend, who does have my craft blog address, so I didn't want to risk posting it, just in case. It's now been safely delivered, so I can share! My friend is, as I'm sure you can guess, a big star wars fan! So I got this awesome stamp from Oddballs, coloured with my promarkers. The sentiment was custom made by me and the lightsabers cut on my cameo... oops on the red, I was informed yesterday that's a sith lord colour, who knew? (well people who watch star wars obviously, but I've only see a couple of them). The papers are from Recollections Charming design pad. Baubles and Bells

So as my ankle proceed to get more painful not less, I went to A&E. After some blood tests and x-ray and a lot of socially distanced sitting around, the doctor ruled out everything else, so agrees with me that it's probably the tendons, but other than to continue with painkillers the only 'cure' is physio... which, is problematic at the moment for obvious reasons. Oh well, we'll see. It is making sitting in my craft room awkward because I'm supposed to keep my foot elevated as much as possible - but I did manage to get my craft on today. If with a small amount of pain. Ah well, art is pain, right? I went with one of my non-traditional paper packs, from hobbycraft. Teal shades are some of my favourites! I coloured the stamps from bugaboo with my promarkers - there is another from the set, a snowflake, which is inside the card, but I forgot to take a picture of that, oops! The frames were cut on my cameo and of course, I couldn't resist the gems... although I

Thinking Of You

Another stupid o'clock wake up call from my body. And another card because heck there isn't much else to do at 6am! I honestly have no idea where the butterfly stamp came from, may have been a freebie with a magazine... they'd never seen in before! The frame was cut on my cameo and the sentiment from Hot off the Press Inc. A few pearls finished the look. Go Wild

This is probably the most CAS card I have ever made. Black card base, with a white panel on front. I used my cameo to cut the jungle border. The leaf and sentiment came from a freebie set in a magazine! And I threw a few gems in, because... gems. Challenges: - Artsystamper #17 - Black and White + 1 Colour - CAS on Friday #181 - Animals - Less is More #421 - Borders Thanks for Visiting

The Early Bird... Would like to go back to bed!

So every now and then, I suffer with insomnia. Sometimes, it's the tossing and turning for hours, I can't get to sleep insomnia... sometimes it's the fall asleep easy, sleep for 2-3 hours and be *wide the heck awake* insomnia... at the moment, it appears to be the latter... so since I was up in the 6am hour (believe me this never happens unless I'm travelling or having insomnia!) on 3 hours sleep... I thought I'd at least try to be productive. The images came from Digi Doodle Shop and of course, were coloured with my trusty promarkers. I used paper from Dove Craft's Crafty Christmas pack (*shush*) on a kraft card base. The fence and milk urn were cut on my cameo and the sentiment came from Hunkydory. Happy Birthday 2U

So I appear to have tendinitis in my foot/ankle - at least, I'm fairly sure that's what it is. Part of me thinks I should go get it checked out, but the rest of me is like, well it will mean a visit to A&E and as long as my foot isn't actually hanging off, heck no! It means I'm spending a lot of time with my foot elevated, which makes crafting interesting... and meant that I started this card yesterday and only finished it today, oops! I used some very old papers from Raspberry Road, that I found in my stash. The image is from Bugaboo, coloured of course with my trusty promarkers and the sentiment was a freebie from Birds Cards. I made it an easel card, pretty much as an excuse to show a friend of mine, new to card making, how simple an easel card is! Pickles the Penguin

Last week is an unholy mess of which we shall never speak again... so I got nothing productive done. But today, hurrah! A card! With paper from craft sensations, on a navy card base and the adorable pickles the penguin from digital delights by loobylou, coloured with my promarkers, this was a pretty quick make. But at least I feel like I did something productive for the first time all week! I added some glitter on his little hat and on the snow to give a bit of sparkle and of course I had to add some gems, because gems!
