Mermaid Birthday

My friends youngest daughter is 4 today, so I made this card for her, as she loves mermaids.  The papers are from a make&create pad called 'feeling happy' layered on a teal card base. I fussy cut the pollycraft image on my cameo and cut the seaweed and starfish on that too. The sentiment was from a stampset I've had for years and i added a few pearlesent gems. We Age Not By Years

I saw the 'inspired by etch-a-sketch' challenge on A Barrel of Monkey's and knew it was the perfect time to use the acetate sheets I picked up a few weeks ago. I cut the black card base and poppys on my cameo. I coloured directly onto the acetate for the poppys. The paper also cut on my cameo, was from J'Adore by First Edition. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the inside of the card, which I'd added a white panel too. Cupcake Birthday

So yesterday I posted this  very pink and girly card for my friends daughter, with whom she shares a birthday. Today, the card I made for her friend, who is the very opposite. She likes black and more black, lol. I used this adorable image from tiddlyinks, coloured with my promarkers and added some black ink around the edges. The papers are DCWV's Blackcurrent stack, on a black card base. I printed the sentiment and cut the flourish on my silhouette and finished with gems and flowers from my stash. Fairy Birthday

One of my friends shares her birthday with her daughter next week. I'll be making my friends card in the next few days, but I made this one for her (almost 6 year old) daughter first. Despite my friend (and most of her immediate circle) being not remotely girly... dresses 95% in black/grey, rarely wears skirts etc... her daughter has somehow turned out to be a proper little girly-girl who loves pink and dresses and make up and tiaras. I used an image from pollycraft coloured with my promarkers and created the sentiment myself. The papers are from an old set by helz cuppleditch, called Fun Fair, layered on a purple card base. I found a pearlesent star in my stash that was a perfect size to go over the start on her wand, so of course I had to add that! and a little pink/white twine and some pink pearls to finish.  Challenges: Passion for Markers #705 - Make it Feminine Pearly Sparkles Challenge #88 - Use at least one: Pink , Pearls and/or Sparkle Happy Little Stampers - Anythin

Coffee & Friends

As any one who knows me will tell you I love coffee. Like, I'm fully aware I drink too much, I just don't care, lol! And luckily for me, several of my friends are just as obsessed, so this coffee cup shaped card cut on my silhouette won't sit unused for too long. The papers are from my minds eye, the sentiment from stamping up and the image from digi darla, coloured of course with my promarkers. Challenges: Dream Valley Challenge #300 - Shaped Cards Night Owl Create #28 - I Love... (Coffee!)

Birthday Shopping

As I've probably mentioned before I'm not the worlds biggest fan of pink... but I realise I'm in a minority and most of my female friends (and my sister) love it so I do occasionally cater to them. The image came from Kenny K, coloured with my promarkers. The papers are from a make & create pad I picked up in the works a few days ago. Sadly the image came out a little dark when I took the picture so it looks a bit darker than it is. It's actually a much brighter pink. The pad has a lot of pink! My sister will be thrilled, lol!  I used a white card base, but purple card to layer and added a little twine, some flowers and gems to embellish. Enjoy Your Day

This bicycle stamp is from a freebie set I got with a magazine a few years ago. I think it was cardmaking and papercraft, but can't be sure. I stamped it directly on the craft base and used my promarkers to colour the frame and wheel rims. The sentiment was two stamps from the same set. The paper was from make and create and I added a few gems and a single flower embellishment to complete it. Challenges: Little Red Wagon #719 - Bicycle Race The Paper Funday #56 - Anything Goes w/optional The Great Outdoors

Have A Great Day

How cute is this wee pupper from digi doodle shop. I've had him cut out waiting for me to decide what to do with him for aaaaages! I finally coloured him with my promarkers and decided on this side stepper card. The various elements were cut on my cameo. The paper is from the Nit Wit Paws-ativity collection. I stamped and cut the sentiment by hand and added it to the tree with a bit of twine, to make it look kinda like a swing (and it does swing, side to side at least, lol). Challenges: All Sorts Challenge #741/2 - All Creatures Great and Small Little Red Wagon #718 - Dog Days Creative Creases #64 - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold Cut it Up #284 - Create a Scene

Birthday Martini

This Sassy Studio Designs image was perfect for my friends sister. I coloured it with my promarkers and used papers from lipstick basics and black card layers, on a red card base. A hand-stamped sentiment and a few flowers and gems from my stash to finish off. Challenges:  2 Sisters on the Blog - #77 Sketch Passion for Markers - #703 Lets Celebrate

To My Boyfriend

My friends boyfriend turns 30 on Wednesday, so I made this card for her to give to him. He's a big fan of gaming and so that was a natural theme to follow.  The stamp is LotV coloured with my promarkers. The sentiment was just typed. The papers are from a craft sensations pack called Lipstick Basics. A little twine and a few gems for simple embellishment, all on a black card base. Challenges: AAA Birthday - #52 Anything Birthday Goes

Happy Birthday Kitty

Since I'm making cards again my mum is taking full advantage and asked for a birthday card for a friend. The only things I really know about her is she likes cats and flowers so... cats and flowers it is. The Stamp is from Penny Johnson, I've had it for probably a few years and it had never seen ink before. I coloured it with my promarkers. I used a new make and create vintage dreams pad I picked up in the works today, on a blue card base. A flourish cut on my silhouette cameo and twine, flowers and pearls as added embellishments. Lets Celebrate

I often... avoid, the colour pink, when I can. I'm just not a pink girl. I've used it of course for friends and family who are, but it's not a natural choice for me. However this weeks palette on colour throwdown inspired me, so pink it is, along with aqua, yellow and lime. The image was a craft sensations stamp. Coloured with my promarkers. Can't remember where the sentiment came from. The paper is an old Fancy Pants pack. A bit of twine, and a few gemstones finished it off. For You

This cute lil' fella came from pollycraft; coloured with my promarkers. I saw the challenge on Make My Monday, for summer activities and I knew I had this guy printed and cut from agggggggges ago... and what's a better summer activity than eating ice cream, none, exactly! lol! The 'for you' sentiment stamp is from fundamentals birthday stamps set and I used a little twine. The paper is from a new pad I picked up yesterday in the Works (a sort of budget bookshop, that does stationary/craft stuff/toys too) for £1 a pack (30 sheets/10 designs if your interested). 30th Birthday

So a friends 30th is on Thursday and yes I am lastminute.com on this one, because honestly, I forgot! oops! At least I remembered before her actual birthday!  The image is from bugaboo coloured with my promarkers. The papers from trimcrafts, layered on grey card. The frame and 30 was cut on my cameo. The sentiment is from hunkydory. May The Birthday Force Be With You

I actually made this last week, but it was for a friend, who does have my craft blog address, so I didn't want to risk posting it, just in case. It's now been safely delivered, so I can share! My friend is, as I'm sure you can guess, a big star wars fan! So I got this awesome stamp from Oddballs, coloured with my promarkers. The sentiment was custom made by me and the lightsabers cut on my cameo... oops on the red, I was informed yesterday that's a sith lord colour, who knew? (well people who watch star wars obviously, but I've only see a couple of them). The papers are from Recollections Charming design pad. The Early Bird... Would like to go back to bed!

So every now and then, I suffer with insomnia. Sometimes, it's the tossing and turning for hours, I can't get to sleep insomnia... sometimes it's the fall asleep easy, sleep for 2-3 hours and be *wide the heck awake* insomnia... at the moment, it appears to be the latter... so since I was up in the 6am hour (believe me this never happens unless I'm travelling or having insomnia!) on 3 hours sleep... I thought I'd at least try to be productive. The images came from Digi Doodle Shop and of course, were coloured with my trusty promarkers. I used paper from Dove Craft's Crafty Christmas pack (*shush*) on a kraft card base. The fence and milk urn were cut on my cameo and the sentiment came from Hunkydory. Happy Birthday 2U

So I appear to have tendinitis in my foot/ankle - at least, I'm fairly sure that's what it is. Part of me thinks I should go get it checked out, but the rest of me is like, well it will mean a visit to A&E and as long as my foot isn't actually hanging off, heck no! It means I'm spending a lot of time with my foot elevated, which makes crafting interesting... and meant that I started this card yesterday and only finished it today, oops! I used some very old papers from Raspberry Road, that I found in my stash. The image is from Bugaboo, coloured of course with my trusty promarkers and the sentiment was a freebie from Birds Cards. I made it an easel card, pretty much as an excuse to show a friend of mine, new to card making, how simple an easel card is! On Your Special Day, Sister

My sister's birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I've been trying for days to make my brain work to make her card and finally I succeeded.  She's also asked for me to make her a dream catcher, so that's going to be a new adventure to try making one as I never have... oh well that's why youtube exists right?  I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The papers came from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles pack layered on brown card. The sentiment/sister was hand stamped, unfortunately I have no idea where it came from! A die cut heart that's been loitering in my draw since goodness knows when and a few gems to finish it off. Challenges: - Colour Crazy Craft Challenge #18: Anything Goes with colouring - Cardz 4 Galz #121: Birthday Thanks for visiting!

BFF Birthday

So my best friend and I met online... some dozen plus years ago, on a group for CSI fans. She lives in England (Yorkshire now, but London when we met) and I live in N.Ireland, so we probably only see each other in person once, or sometimes twice a year. Still, we talk most every day online and despite the distance, she is absolutely my best friend. When I saw this image on Bugaboo a couple of years ago, I always intended to use it for a card for her, but then I stopped crafting for a long time because time and reality and health and yeah, ya know! So yay I'm crafting again and her birthday is this month, so of course I had too! The image as I said is from Bugaboo, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The papers are from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles book, on a teal card base. The 'I love my computer' was printed, but the 'Have a Great Day' sentiment was stamped from Hunkydory sweet sentiments set. And of course, I can't have a card without a few gems! lol! Challenge

A couple of men's cards...

This first one was made for my brother in law, who is a keen bowler. My sister, spends her summers complaining she's a bowls widow normally - this year she might just wish she was, lol! I got the fab image from Polkadoodles, coloured with my promarkers. The paper is from Jen Hadfield, on a kraft card base. Challenges: - A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge - #114, Anything Goes - Daisy Chain Challenge - #40, Birthday This one could do for several of my friends, I have a lot of gamers in my life, not sure how that happened, as until a few years ago I'd never owned a gaming system (yes I now own a PS3 and 4). I cut the die on my silhouette and the papers came from papermania's happy days pack. A bit of blue ribbon from my stash and a sentiment stamp from teddy bo & co, coloured in the buttons with promarkers just to round it off.
