First Time in a While

 So I haven't updated this thing in forever, honestly, I've not done much crafting in a while and when I have I haven't bothered to publish or enter in challenges. But lately, I've felt like I want to get back into it more regularly - I've been struggling with mental health and crafting was one of the things I loved that really helped with that at one point, so I'm hoping that it can help me now.

Since it's been such a long time, I had a look for a few challenges to help me get the mojo going. My first attempt we won't even talk about (no really, lol) but this one I was happy enough with considering it's probably at least a year since I've touched any of my craft stuff in any serious way.

    I'm so pleased you were able to get back to crafting with this clean and simple holiday card. I love your sweet little owl who fits in with the sketch perfectly!! I hope you find your crafty mojo keeps on flowing now and that crafting, and the crafting community, helps you as you continue to get back into the crafting world. How cute is this wee pupper from digi doodle shop. I've had him cut out waiting for me to decide what to do with him for aaaaages! I finally coloured him with my promarkers and decided on this side stepper card. The various elements were cut on my cameo. The paper is from the Nit Wit Paws-ativity collection. I stamped and cut the sentiment by hand and added it to the tree with a bit of twine, to make it look kinda like a swing (and it does swing, side to side at least, lol). On Your Special Day, Sister

My sister's birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I've been trying for days to make my brain work to make her card and finally I succeeded.  She's also asked for me to make her a dream catcher, so that's going to be a new adventure to try making one as I never have... oh well that's why youtube exists right?  I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The papers came from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles pack layered on brown card. The sentiment/sister was hand stamped, unfortunately I have no idea where it came from! A die cut heart that's been loitering in my draw since goodness knows when and a few gems to finish it off. Autumn...

The leaves and quote came from a set sweet and sassy. I used my cameo to fussy cut the leaves and cut the sentiment on the oval. The stars are wooden embellishments from my stash. And the paper is make and create. I added a few pearls. It's layered on a kraft card base.
