Thinking of You Lots

Still off work, but no card making has happened for a few days, because I've been busy beating my head against a brick wall making my sister's birthday present. She asked for a dream catcher and because you know, I'm a glutton for punishment I decided, hey it can't be that hard to make one right... oh well, at least it turned out reasonably well! Although, very obviously handmade by someone with only a cursory knowledge of the subject, lol! Anyway, rambling aside, card, yay. Got a lovely freebie stamp and stencil set in simply cards and papercraft issue 204 and have used those today. The jar stencil I used on design paper and cut out the shape, adding a little light grey around the edges to highlight. The flowers were coloured with my promarkers. The sentiment came from the same set and I put it on a grey card base. Your Kindness Warms My Heart

Ahh one of my favourite things, coffee. These fiskers stamps from long ago, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The sentiment came from the same set. And of course, I had to throw on some gems! You're Tweet

I honestly have no idea where this stamp came from. I suspect it was a freebie with a magazine some million years ago when I was buying several craft magazines every week! The sentiment came as part of the same set at any rate. I coloured the wee bird with my promarkers and of course, I couldn't resist throwing on a few gems, because gems! Silhouette Reindeers

This was a bit experimental for me, compared to my usual style, but I don't think it turned out too bad!  The little red birds and the deer/trees were cut on my cameo, the frame i cut by hand. I used a spare bit of cut out card to make a stencil for my moon, using silver ink. Added a bit of glitter along the bottom and on a few branches for a bit of a sparkle and the sentiment from Stampin' Up. Fairy Christmas

I just love this fairy from Bugaboo! She's been cut on the cameo with the cross-stitch pattern and coloured with my promarkers.  The paper is from craft sensations. The sentiment stamped from papermania. The scalloped circle and the holly were cut on the cameo as well. The berries replaced with gems and a few more gems added in the corner to finish her off. On Your Special Day, Sister

My sister's birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I've been trying for days to make my brain work to make her card and finally I succeeded.  She's also asked for me to make her a dream catcher, so that's going to be a new adventure to try making one as I never have... oh well that's why youtube exists right?  I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The papers came from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles pack layered on brown card. The sentiment/sister was hand stamped, unfortunately I have no idea where it came from! A die cut heart that's been loitering in my draw since goodness knows when and a few gems to finish it off. Christmas Cardinal

So this will be for my sort of step-dad - family tree's are hard work, lol! - who loves birds and old fashioned stuff, so this stamp from Sweet and Sassy Stamps (coloured with my promarkers) and the papers from KaiserCraft was a perfect combination for him! The oval frame was cut on my cameo and I finished off with a few pearls. The sentiment was hand stamped, alas I have no idea where I got the stamp from! Santa Greetings

If I don't get my patootie moving, I won't be getting enough xmas cards made, lol! But I admit, I've had so much fun getting back into crafting I've been all over the place. Still, I had this santa printed and cut from Digital Delights by Loubyloo from ages ago and as soon as I saw the sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! Santa was of course coloured with my trusty promarkers and the paper is from craft sensations. BFF Birthday

So my best friend and I met online... some dozen plus years ago, on a group for CSI fans. She lives in England (Yorkshire now, but London when we met) and I live in N.Ireland, so we probably only see each other in person once, or sometimes twice a year. Still, we talk most every day online and despite the distance, she is absolutely my best friend. When I saw this image on Bugaboo a couple of years ago, I always intended to use it for a card for her, but then I stopped crafting for a long time because time and reality and health and yeah, ya know! So yay I'm crafting again and her birthday is this month, so of course I had too! The image as I said is from Bugaboo, coloured with my trusty promarkers. The papers are from Jen Hadfield's Pebbles book, on a teal card base. The 'I love my computer' was printed, but the 'Have a Great Day' sentiment was stamped from Hunkydory sweet sentiments set. And of course, I can't have a card without a few gems! lol! Challenge...

With Sympathy

While I'm not a particularly superstitious person, I am not a fan of keeping a lot of sympathy cards 'in stock' as it were, but I always like to have one or two, for the unfortunately inevitable times I need one. Sadly had to use one of my limited stash of sympathy cards this week, after the passing of a family friend, so I decided to replace it in my stash. I used three old digi stamp flowers from Beccy's Place, that I printed and cut, probably 2 years ago, oops! I coloured them with my trusty promarkers. The Paper is from My Minds Eye 'Bloom' pack on brown card base and the sentiment stamped with a stampin' up small sentiments stamp, the leafy flourish was cut on my cameo using a bit of pearlescent green card from my stash and a few pearls to finish off.
